Crochet LED purse

Wearable computing, with all its innovations like Google glass, smart watches, personal monitoring devices has become the next big thing in the market and very soon we will find ourselves attached to a number of gadgets and interacting with them. If you are interested in making interesting things with wearable computing items, Adafruit is definitely an excellent place to start.

I wanted to make something more rudimentary and simple, trying to solve the problem of women having a tough time finding keys in their purse. So I made a prototype crochet purse, with a tiny LED circuit and stitched it to the inner side of the lining. I kept the light facing outside to be able to be used on a dark and lonely road or just show up stylishly in a party!!!

Like it???

Things needed:

Stainless Medium Conductive Thread - 3 ply - 18 meter/60 ft

LED

Sewable CR2032 Battery Holder

Battery  CR 2032
